COMPOSITION
The mayor of the city of Richmond shall designate the director of the Department of Recreation and Parks for the city of Richmond, one member of City Council and one member of the City Planning Commission to serve as directors. (Assigned to the Education and Human Services Standing Committee)
TERM OF OFFICE
City Council member and members of Planning Commission shall serve for a term coinciding with their term of office as Council member and as Planning Commissioner, respectively.

OBLIGATION
The purposes of the corporation shall be exclusively educational and charitable, including for such purposes, the following: (a) To operate, manage, promote and improve Maymont Park as a public park and museum for recreational and educational purposes and to seek funds therefor; and (b) To do and perform every lawful act necessary or expedient or desirable in connection with and to effectively carryout the purposes of the corporation.
