Established by Resolution No. 96-R5-20, adopted January 22, 1996, as amended by Resolution No. 98-R69-74, adopted May 26, 1998, as amended by Resolution No. 2006-R148-154, adopted October 23, 2006.
COMPOSITION
The Board shall have: 3 - representatives of the Police Department 3 - towing and recovery operators, and 1 - member of the general public, who shall be a citizen of the City of Richmond, to be appointed by Council. Four members of the board shall constitute a quorum. (Assigned to the Public Safety Standing Committee)
TERM OF OFFICE
The term of office shall be for three (3) years. No person shall serve more than two consecutive terms, except that a person appointed to fill a vacancy shall be eligible for appointment to two complete terms.

OBLIGATION
An Advisory Board for the Assessment of Towing Fees and the Storage of Vehicles, as provided for in Article 3, Chapter 12, Title 46.2 of the Code of Virginia is hereby established to advise the City with regard to the appropriate provisions of any ordinance that may be adopted by the City regarding this subject.
