Pursuant to the provisions of the Virginia Water and Sewer Authorities Act, being Title 15.2, Chapter 51, Code of Virginia; and Ordinance No. 90-354-330, adopted December 10, 1990.
COMPOSITION
The governing body of the City of Richmond, together with the Cities of Petersburg, Colonial Heights, and Hopewell; Counties of Charles City, Chesterfield, Goochland, Hanover, Henrico, New Kent, Prince George, and Powhatan, and the Town of Ashland, shall appoint at least one of its residents to the Board and may appoint an alternate for each member. TERM OF OFFICE
The governing body of each participating political subdivision shall determine the term of office of its members and alternates, which shall be for a term of years not to exceed four years. As directors of the Authority's Board, members and alternates shall hold office until their successors have been appointed. Members and alternates also may succeed themselves.

OBLIGATION
The Authority's purpose is to plan, acquire, construct, reconstruct, improve, extend, operate, contract for and maintain any garbage and refuse collection, transfer and disposal program or system, within one or more of the political subdivisions which are members of this Authority.

Every third Friday of the month at 2104 W. Laburnum Avenue, 1st Floor Conference Room.
